Frequently Asked Questions

Maria works with artists, publications, brands, performers, beauty clients, studios, and creative teams across still photography and motion/video. Below are a few common questions about her work, process, and availability.

What can we hire you for?

A lot! For businesses, I'm available for branding campaigns, fashion lookbooks, editorial portraits or company headshots. For artists, personal branding and artwork photography, as well as storytelling videos of your process. For dance companies, I cover rehearsals and shows, promo imagery and creative concepts. I'm also available for select private events and commissions. And if you don't see an exact description of your project, just ask.

What's it like working with you?

It feels ike a warm hug. I strongly believe that a good shoot is the one where everyone feels supported and encouraged to contribute and collaborate. As a team, we stay on schedule, we listen, we deliver the brief and a bit more, and most importantly, we have fun doing it. I feel honored everyday that I get to do this job for a living and it comes through in my work and attitude.

How should I go about booking a shoot?

It's helpful to to send a short description of the project, including the type of work needed, intended use, timeline, location, and any creative direction or references. But no worries if you haven't got that all figured out quite yet - we'll book a creative call to get on the same page before signing off on anything. Once we're on the same page, we'll sign an agreement and and get a retainer to start pre-production, make the detailed shotlist, and book the necessary crew and equipment.

Can you recommend crew, like makeup artists, stylists, producers and more?

Gladly! If your goal is to create elevated assets, crew is essential! I have worked in the industry for a while and have accumulated a directory of talented artsists I can proudly recommend. Yes. Maria creates beauty imagery for skincare, makeup, hair, editorial beauty stories, and brand campaigns. Her beauty work focuses on texture, lighting, skin, detail, individuality, and creative direction.

Can you create both stills and motion for the same project?

Technically, yes and it requires 2 separate crews for stills and video. It cannot however be done simultaneously with one camera.

Are additional portfolios available?

Yes. Additional portfolios are available on request.
